Continuing today with the assembly of the Zenith 750 SD elevator assembly comprised primarily of attaching the elevator horns to the elevator.
I found it difficult to get the pneumatic riveter up against the horn angle to pull the rivets straight so in the end I ground one side of the riveter a bit flat. I wanted to be sure that I got the rivet manufactured head up against the angle.
There are an upper and lower horn and angle brackets which are attached to the front bracket and spar with A5 rivets. There is a specific note in the instructions to not put a rivet into the bottom (lower) rivet hole in the lower horn angle as this is replaced with an AN3 bolt when the elevator stop angle is attached.
These are the photos of the horn and angle attachments.
