Today I started the final assembly of the vertical stabilizer by checking all the priming and placing the parts where I could get to them easily.
I also started riveting the spar doublers to the rear spar. I was not happy with some of the riveting as the rivet gun bounced on the 470 rivet heads so I drilled some of them out and replaced them. My experience so far is it is much harder to drill out 470 rivets than 426s.
