Today I continued primarily with the HS-1013 spar caps. In the pictures you can see the trimmed ends and the filing I am doing at the vise.
The vise I have is an old 4″ swivel vice. In order to avoid damaging the aluminum I initially used a couple of hardwood blocks. I then looked for pads at Home Despot, Lowes and on eBay. At $15 I figured it was worth the expense by nobody had them in stock so I ended up buying some felt furniture pads, glued on one side, and cut them to fit the vise and they worked just great. Cost $2.
