Build Live Streaming

My normal live stream hours will be Monday to Friday sometime between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to somewhere around 5:00 p.m. I will, however, sometimes be outside spraying, or working in the morning. Saturdays are anybody’s guess. I could be in here all day, or not in here at all. Sundays, if I am in here, it will be in the afternoon after church and lunch.

To view archived video, just go to the appropriate post page where you will find a related video gallery.

Xeoma Surveillance have very generously provided me with a sponsored license to use their software which I now have configured. I am embedding the live video stream into the web site but, after looking into the bandwidth usage, I need to see what the costs are likely to be. I can stream directly from my server without additional costs, I believe, but that may come with other limitations.

If I am not working on the build, archived video should be available. If I am working on the build, then live video should be available below. You will probably (should) have to log in. Please use the username rv10builder and the password RV10workshop!

NOTES: When viewing live, you probably will need to pick “mjpeg” from the menu as at present the webrtc format (default) will not work. For archive video, you can use either webrtc or mjpeg. Please note the archive is slow (at present) and will probably remain that way until I start uploading edited video to the web site server itself, although I am going to look into what I can do about this. When viewing archive clips there will be a little gear on the bottom right hand side. If you click on that it will bring up a setting bar where you can pick dates, times and change the speed at which the video clip will play. The progress bar across the bottom is relevant to the current clip.

If you double-click on a single camera view, you should get full screen. You can also connect here: https://xeoma.myeabuild.com and open the live view in a browser tab or window of its own instead of this smaller frame. From there you can resize the thumbnails by dragging the corner of one of the images.

Note also that if the server is online and you see no work being done, use the Archive link and you can then view any archival video.

It is my intent to ultimately edit the live video into tutorials, or at least explanations of what I did and what I found during the build process. These updates will all appear as part of the blog.
